Exawatt (EW)
The exawatt (symbol: EW) is a unit of power in the International System of Units (SI), representing an extremely large amount of power. One exawatt equals 1018 watts:
1 EW=1018 W
The exawatt is rarely used in everyday applications due to its enormous scale. It is mostly relevant in theoretical physics, astrophysics, or discussions of massive energy outputs, such as those from stars or very large-scale energy systems.
To put it in perspective, the total global power consumption is measured in terawatts (TW, 1012 watts), so one exawatt is a million times larger than that.
Because of its huge magnitude, the exawatt is primarily a conceptual or scientific unit rather than a practical one for typical engineering or everyday use.
