Homestead
A homestead traditionally refers to a parcel of land granted or owned, often for farming or settlement purposes. In the U.S. context, under laws like the Homestead Act, a typical homestead was:
160 acres (about 65 hectares) of public land granted to settlers.
Used to encourage settlement and cultivation.
Today, the term can also mean a family’s residence and surrounding land, especially a farm or ranch.
Square Nanometer [nm²]
A square nanometer (nm²) is a unit of area equal to a square with sides 1 nanometer long (1 nm = 1 billionth of a meter, or 10⁻⁹ m).
It’s used to measure extremely tiny areas, like the surface of molecules or nanomaterials.
1 nm² = 1 × 10⁻¹⁸ m².
